China

China was such an eye opener. The pace of development of the infrastructure was staggering from the Shanghai bullet train, the Beijing metro and enormous brand new airports and railway buildings throughout the country. Tourist sights such as the Great Wall and the Terracotta warriors are certainly worthy of their iconic world heritage status. The food was excellent and so varied in different regions, although I needed a Chinese guide in order to have any idea what I was ordering!
